Sashiko Messenger Bag

I finished one of my Sashiko bags. I made it a Messenger bag.

A big opening with a long zipper is easy to put things in and out. This bag is reinforced with batting so it is pretty sturdy to hold something a little heavy like a couple of books.

I made the shoulder strap adjustable using a metal slider.

This is the back. You can see a half of the three Ginko leaves in the corner.

I put two pockets inside for my cell phone and dictionary. The lining fabric is a remnant of the curtains I made long time ago for our guest house we are renting.  There is another Sashiko which I embroidered Japanese Alphabets in it. I am going to make it into a tote bag. That Sashiko project is postponed because I started several other projects this week. I will show you when the tote is done.
